Dina Lohan is looking to sell her daughter Lindsay’s secrets, including her alleged drug and alcohol use, in a memoir she’s trying to land a publishing deal for, TMZ is reporting. Dina was looking to sell the book as recently as two weeks ago, as her daughter is once again facing the court for her progress in her probation in her necklace heist case.
TMZ obtained a draft of the prologue for the memoir, which reads: “I blamed her friends, her career and her handlers for a newfound lifestyle of partying excessively. Drinking, drugging and behaving irresponsibly became (Lindsay’s) way of daily living-and it tore me up inside.”
Dina also wrote that she moved her daughter from New York to L.A. at an early age to focus on her career. “How could I deny my daughter the chance of a lifetime?,” the memoir also reads. “How could I hold Lindsay back from her dream of becoming an actress? So, I listened to others and sent my daughter to Hollywood.”
When Lindsay’s career and personal life began deteriorating, Dina said she was helpless. She added that she couldn’t bring her daughter home to New York, but was conflicted as both Lindsay’s mother and manager.
So far, no publishers have made Dina any offers for the memoir, which was reportedly actually written by a ghost writer. The ghost writer is reportedly on board to finish penning the book.
