The first photo of Robert Redford in the upcoming open water thriller ‘All Is Lost’ has been released by Lionsgate and Roadside Attraction. The film, which was penned and is being helmed by Academy Award-nominted writer and director J.C. Chandor, just wrapped principal photography at Baja Studios in Rosarito, Mexico.

Redford stars in a solo performance of one man who is lost at sea. He must battle against the elements to stay alive.

‘All Is Lost’ is being produced by Before The Door Pictures’ Neal Dodson and Washington Square Films’ Anna Berg. The two said that “after an intense two months of shooting on the water, we’re headed home and have finished production on schedule.” They added that Chandor “is making an audacious film with a brave performance at its center.”

Frankie DeMarco is the director of photographer on ‘All Is Lost,’ which is being edited by Peter Beaudreau. Both previously worked with Chandor on his feature film directorial debut, last year’s ‘Margin Call,’ which was nominated for a Best Writing, Original Screenplay Oscar. ‘All Is Lost’s underwater cinematographer is Pete Zuccarini.

FilmNation Entertainment is handling international sales for ‘All Is Lost.’ Universal Pictures International will distribute the film to a large portion of the world.
