‘My So Called Life’ actor and 30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto is back in the acting game with a new role in the jean Marc Vallee directed real life drama ‘The Dallas Buyer’s Club’. The story chronicles Ron Woodroof, an American heterosexual man who gained notoriety for smuggling illegal treatments for AIDS across the Mexican border back in the late 80′s. In the film Leto will play Rayon, an AIDS patient who is described as a “flamboyant cross-dresser” that crosses paths with Woodroof who is played by the currently gaunt looking Matthew McConaughey. Actress Jennifer Garner also stars in the film. She was recently cast in the role of McConaughey’s doctor.
‘The Dallas Buyer’s Club’ breaks a three year hiatus from the big screen for Jared Leto whose previous roles include 2009′s ‘Mr. Nobody’, ‘Chapter 27′ where he played Mark David Chapman, 2006′s ‘Lonely Hearts’, director Andrew Niccol’s ‘Lord of War’ in the role of Vitaly Orlov , ‘Alexander’, 2003′s ‘Sol Goode’ and more.
