Warner Bros Adds $9 Million To Green Lantern Post Budget

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

“Green Lantern” is due out in theaters on June 17th. That’s less than a month and a half from now, and in that short time frame, Warner Bros. has added an additional $9 million to their post-production budget. This $9 million will go into hiring visual effects houses and additional staff for more visual effects to reach its June release date. But is this a sign for a troubled production? Not necessarily, Warner Bros received criticism for rushing the first “Green Lantern” trailer, to make the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″ release date, with very limited visual effects, which angered comic book fans and pundits alike. If you want to be surprised when you see the film, then avoid the next paragraph because some possible spoilers are below. According to the sites, on of Batman-on-Films’ sources has stated that audiences might actually get to see the Batwing, Bat-plane or some other type of aerial Bat-transportation. Also, a new Tumbler or even a Bat-tank may be in the film since the last Tumbler was destroyed in “The Dark Knight”. Thursday, February 10th, 2011

The “Dark Knight Rises” news on Joseph Gordon-Levitt won’t rest! Now there’s talk circling the blogosphere about the “Inception” star possibly playing a mobster. According to CinemaBlend via Comic Book Movie, Gordon-Levitt could play Alberto Falcone a.k.a. The Holiday Killer, the son of mob boss Carmine Falcone (seen in “Batman Begins”), played by Tom Wilkinson. According to the rumor, Alberto will go back into Gotham’s underworld and entrench himself in the world the Joker turned on its head. The other rumor is that Nestor Carbonell will return as Gotham’s mayor. The Holiday Killer seems like a role Gordon-Levitt could play well, and honestly, he could shine in the role due…

Joseph Gordon-Levitt as The Joker

Joseph Gordon-Levitt to be in The Dark Knight Rises

Friday, February 4th, 2011

More exciting “Dark Knight” news! Joseph Gordon-Levitt, now a Christopher Nolan staple due to “Inception”, is going to play a role in “The Dark Knight Rises”, according to various sources, including E! Online. As for what role the actor might play, it’s up in the air. One other rumor I’ve seen floating around by Batman fans is probably more just wishful thinking than an actual fact-based guess. Someone suggested that they could possibly use him to continue the Joker, a role…
