I guess this is really the first Movie News Cheat Sheet of the year. “Green Lantern” premiered last week to the type of fanfare designated for any big-budget comic book superhero film. The film is the box-office winner, grossing $53.2 million over its opening weekend, but was a critical failure. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film only garnered a critical rating of 26%, making the film undeniably “rotten” by the site’s standards. However, the audience liked it and gave it a 61%.
