With the rise in ratings for satirical talk show ‘The Colbert Report,’ Comedy Central is now airing the top two late night shows in the key advertiser demographic. ‘The Colbert Report’ joins ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ at the top of the ratings charts. In the first quarter of this year, the two Emmy Award-winning series are the highest rated talk shows on network and cable networks.

So far this year, ‘The Daily Show’ averaged 2.5 million viewers, and saw a strong growth among younger viewers. It was the most-watched show among Adults 18-49 and Men 18-49. ‘The Colbert Report,’ meanwhile, averaged audiences of 1.9 million total viewers, and was the second most-watched late night talk show among Adults 18-49 and Men 18-49.

The websites for ‘The Daily Show‘ and ‘The Colbert Report‘ were also the top two sites among late night talk shows during the first quarter. Not only do the two series have more Facebook fans than any other late night talk shows, they also have the most Total Visits, Unique Visitors, Total Minutes/Time Spent and Videos Streamed. ‘The Daily Show’s website had an average of 1.5 million Unique Visitors, and users spent 21 million minutes on the site, per month.
