Director Jon Favreau has released a set pic from the in-progress build of Tony Stark’s house from the set of “Iron Man 2″. You can check it out, with Favreau and cinematographer Matthew Libatique on-set, below.

The sequel to the 2008 summer smash “Iron Man”, details on the sequel, as well as casting, have been murky, but the film will continue the adventures of the red and gold-armored hero, armor built by playboy industrialist Tony Stark to escape from terrorists and later on, to become the hero known as Iron Man. Robert Downey, Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow are returning to reprise their roles as Tony Stark and his trusty personal assistant Pepper Potts, respectively, and Don Cheadle will also be joining the cast to replace Terrence Howard as James Rhodes, an Air Force pilot and Stark’s best friend who eventually becomes the Iron Man-like hero War Machine.

Marvel Comics’ Iron Man was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby. He first appeared in “Tales Of Suspense” in 1963 and has since gone onto become one of the company’s most prominent characters, being a founding member of the Marvel’s flagship superhero team the Avengers.

“Iron Man 2″ is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters May 7th, 2010.
