Actress Crista Flanagan, most known for her roe as switchboard operator Lois Sadler on AMC’s hit series ‘Mad Men,’ is paying tribute to the 1960s, the decade the show is set in. She is appearing in a retro pictorial and on the cover of the August issue of Playboy Magazine, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported on July 19.
On the cover, Flanagan appears in nothing but a pair of underwear and a necktie. Inside, she poses in pictures that recreate 1960s pinups. The actress told the magazine that she decided to pose because she was “trying to capture an era” with the pictures.
“I really did feel like I was recreating something and that I was bringing to life these women who already posed for Playboy in the ’60s,” Flanagan also said. The issue comes out just as the series’ fourth season is set to debut.
