After Spencer Pratt sent a message to TMZ on September 12, saying he was arrested in Costa Rica as he was trying to come back home to the U.S., the website confirmed the news after finding the legal papers related to the arrest. The former ‘Hills’ star is facing charges of felony possession of a firearm.
In Pratt’s message to TMZ, he said he lived alone in a jungle for a week, “…reflecting on my past transgressions, and working to become a better person.” He added that he had to live off the land and hunt for food during his spirtual journey. Pratt also said that as he was trying to leave Costa Rica, he “mistakenly brought my hunting weapons to the airport. It was an honest mistake, and they sent me on my way.”
After being arrested, Pratt was booked and processed at a local jail. After turning the weapons over to authorities and signing a confession, he was released.
