The conservatorship held over Britney Spears by her father Jamie should be ending within three to four months, RadarOnline.com reported on October 4. The website also reported that Britney “…has made tremendous progress in the past three to four months. She seems to be firmly in control again.”
The news comes after Britney met with Los Angeles Superior Court Jude Reva Goetz on the morning of September 30 in her chambers. The judge wanted to speak with Britney in person to see how she is doing, and “the in-person meeting was very important.” The singer was only accompanied by her court-appointed attorney, Sam Imgham, during the 35-minute meeting.
Judge Goetz also met with Jamie and Britney’s therapist during separate meetings. While the conservatorship is expected to end soon, it is completely Judge Goetz’s decision when it will end. The conservatorship was put in place in February 2008, after Britney had several public breakdowns and was later hospitalized at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.
