Susan Sarandon gave an interview to the UK’s Telegraph, during which she spoke about her love life, the Huffington Post reported on October 4. Among the relationships she discussed were her marriage to Chris Sarandon and her long-term boyfriend Tim Robbins.

The Academy Award-winning actress admitted that she married Chris because “He was the first person I ever had sex with and my best friend.” Even though she was only 20-years-old when they got married, she “took it very seriously; I never had that kind of free-love 1960s.” Sarandon also admitted that she is a serial monogamist, and she has never been wild.

Sarandon also that she never considered marrying Robbins because “I thought that if I didn’t get married you wouldn’t take each other for granted as easily.” But after being together for over 20 years, she didn’t know if that was still true. However, she never thought they would break up.
