Brett Michaels is denying that he had anything to do with Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus getting a divorce, Popeater.com is reporting. When the former Poison singer appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ on November 9, he firmly said that nothing happened between him and Tish.

“I’ve been friends with her family forever,” Michaels said of Miley. “It started out with me and (Miley) simply working on a song together.” The rocker added that he recorded a remake of his song ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’ with the Disney starlet because the first concert she ever went to was Poison. He added that her mother likes the song.

Immediately after the news that the Cyrus couple were splitting hit, rumors began swirling that Michaels had an affair with Tish while working with Miley on her album. Billy Ray filed for divorce late last month, and cited irreconcilable differences on the divorce papers. Michaels is insisting that his relationship with the Cyrus family is purely professional, saying “When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song…and that was it.”
