As Matt Damon prepares for his role in the upcoming biopic of pianist Wladziu Valentino Liberace, titled ‘Liberace,’ the actor has said he’s both excited and looking forward to kissing Michael Douglas, Foxnews.com is reporting. Douglas will appear in the title role, while Damon will play his younger lover Scott Thorsen in the movie, which will be directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Damon has said that the script features more than one kiss. But he’s “really excited about the movie and (Michael) is excited too. They’re two really great roles and we’re really looking forward to it,” he added. He also said that he never thought that he would get to kiss Douglas.
The actor’s excitement comes as rumors are swirling that ‘Liberace’ will be Soderbergh’s last movie. The director has helmed several hits, including ‘Traffic,’ ‘Erin Brockovich’ and the ‘Ocean’s’ trilogy, which featured Damon. Damon even said that’s he’s had a lot of conversations with Soderbergh, and “he is serious about retirement. After that, he says it is the last one he is going to do.”
