Nikki Reed is already engaged to her boyfriend Paul McDonald, after only three months of dating, E!Online is reporting. The ‘Twilight’ actress and the Season 10 ‘American Idol’ contestant met in March 2011 at the L.A. red carpet premieres for the film ‘Red Riding Hood,’ and began dating quickly after.

The two hinted their engagement at the MTV Movie Awards on June 5, 2011. Reed said McDonald, who made it to the Top 8 on this year’s edition of the hit FOX reality competition, is “the one.” She then showed off a ring on her left hand.

At the ‘Red Riding Hood’ premiere, Reed introduced herself to the singer, who was there with the rest of the Top 13 ‘American Idol’ contestants. She told him “You’re amazing. I’m blushing, I should go.” McDonald didn’t realize who Reed was, as he has said he’s never seen any of her movies. He asked one of the ‘American Idol’ camera crew “Was she a famous actress or something? I’d hang out with her!”

McDonald later confirmed his romance with Reed to US Weekly. He said their first encounter at the premiere “was weird…I don’t know too much of her career at all, but the person she is is super cool.”
