After accidentally speaking before he knew the full story, actor Ashton Kutcher has decided to take some time off from his Twitter account. The Two and a Half Men, who has roughly 8 million followers, had made some comments when it came to the Penn State scandal, tweeting – “How do you fire Jo Pa? As a Hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.”
Kutcher did however have to double back after learning about the details of the Joe Paterno/Jerry Sandusky case, prompting the thirty-three year old to share how “awful” he felt over making the mistake. A Kutcher twitter follower also made comments. “With eight million followers, you may want to reserve your opinions until you know the whole story.”
Kutcher did agree with the comment after taking the tweet down. A short time later the husband of Demi Moore made another statement. “I am truly sorry. And moreover am going to take action to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more deeply saddened by the events at Penn State. I feel awful about this error. Won’t happen again.”
According to New York Daily News though, Kutcher is already back on Twitter. “I’m just trying to be a good person,” with a photo of himself standing next to a sign that read – “I’m with stupid.”
