Mario Lopez announced during his hosting duties on the March 10 episode of ‘Extra’ that his girlfriend of two years, Broadway dancer Courtney Mazza, is pregnant. This is the couple’s first child together, and Lopez said that they couldn’t be more excited. “I’ve waited my whole life to be a dad-this is a true blessing. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with my family and my family at ‘Extra,’” he also said.

The baby is due this fall, and Lopez said they’re planning on waiting to find out what the sex is. But he added that he grew up in a large family, so he’s happy to be starting one of his own.

Mazza, 28, met Lopez, 36, who was voted PEOPLE’s 2008 Bachelor of the Year, when they appeared together in the Broadway revival of ‘A Chorus Line.’ Lopez first gained fame in the late 1980s and early-to-mid ’90s when he starred in ‘Saved by the Bell’ and its spin-off, ‘The College Years.’ He reemerged in fall 2006 when he appeared in the hit show ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Besides also appearing in ‘A Chorus Line’ with Mazza and hosting ‘Extra,’ Lopez also currently hosts MTV’s ‘America’s Best Dance Crew.’
