New York Police Commissioner's Son Greg Kelly Accused of Rape

Friday, January 27th, 2012

New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly’s son, Greg Kelly, has been accused of raping a woman last year, ABC News is reporting. The Manhattan district attorney is investigating the co-anchor of Fox’s ‘Good Day New York,’ which his lawyer, Andrew Lankler, has confirmed. “Mr. Kelly strenuously denies any wrongdoing and is cooperating fully with the district attorney’s investigation. We know that the district attorney’s investigation will prove Mr. Kelly’s innocence,” he said. The alleged rape took place at a party at South Street Seaport in October, which the woman attended with coworkers from her Wall Street firm. The incident reportedly happened in her office, after the two left the…

Terra Nova Moving to Pick Up Actors and Writers While Waiting Renewal Decision

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

‘Terra Nova’s producers are moving to secure the lead actors and more writers as they’re waiting to hear back from Fox on its decision to renew the show for a second season, Deadline is reporting. The options on the sci-fi drama expire on December 31, and the pickups for lead actors Jason O’Mara and Stephen Lang are pending. Fox was originally expected to make a decision on picking up ‘Terra Nova’ for a second season earlier in December, with the cast options expiration date forthcoming. The decision was believed to come after 20th Century Fox, which produces the show, met with Fox on December 16. Fox is expected to make…

Nicole Scherzinger Not Yet Confirmed to Return to Season 2 of The X Factor

Tuesday, December 20th, 2011

Nicole Scherzinger hasn’t yet confirmed if she’ll return for the second season of ‘The X Factor,’ Deadline is reporting. The former Pussycat Dolls singer has only said she’s had a lot of fun during the current debut season of the Fox singing competition, and she took the job to mentor the up-and-coming singers. But the elimination process has been hard on her, as “it’s something I could never have been prepared for,” Scherzinger added. Scherzinger was a last-minute replacement for original judge Cheryl Cole, who left ‘The X Factor’ before the auditions began airing. The singer, who was originally slated to be a co-host on the show, has received mostly…

Hugh Laurie to Retire From Television After House Ends

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

Hugh Laurie has announced that once he ends his run as the title character on FOX’s hit medical drama ‘House,’ he’ll retire from television, AOL TV is reporting. “I think I have been rather spoiled here. I can’t imagine there will be another one quite like this,” the actor said. He added that he thinks he’s “extremely lucky to have had the one shot that I have had at it, and I wouldn’t go looking for lightening to strike twice.” Laurie also said that he thinks he isn’t a “desirable commodity for TV” anymore, after playing the grumpy Dr. Gregory House for eight seasons and nearly 170 episodes. In the…

Fox Cancels In The Flow With Affion Crockett

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

This is news to me–Deadline is reporting that Fox has cancelled sketch comedy series, “In The Flow With Affion Crockett” due to it’s low ratings during its summer run. A bigger question is when was this show advertised? I watch television in the summer (well, year-round), and I don’t ever remember seeing a commercial for this show. I know I would have seen it–”American Idol” was on this summer, which meant I’d be watching Fox regularly! How did I not know about this show? Anyway, according to Deadline, the show was produced by Jamie Foxx, and was picked up as a mid-season show. The show was only promoted a few…

The Top 10 Reasons To Love In Living Color

Saturday, October 29th, 2011

Deadline and Entertainment Weekly are reporting some awesome news–”In Living Color” is coming back! Fox is bringing the iconic early 1990s show back, complete with Keenan Ivory Wayans as the host and executive producer. Reportedly, Fox has ordered two half-hour primetime specials that will air during the midseason with an option for a series order if the ratings for the specials are high. I sincerely hope the series ratings are good enough for Fox to order an entire season, because television just hasn’t been the same without “In Living Color.” If you grew up with the show, you probably have a thousand reasons to love the show, but here’s a…
