Jessica Alba arrived in Jennifer Fisher and Ileana Makri jewelry on Friday night as she arrived at Spike TV’s 2012 Video Game Awards. The star matched the Jennifer Fisher pyramid studs with an Ileana Makri triple spike ring for a glamorous, sultry and sophisticated ensemble.
Fisher started her line, Jennifer Fisher Jewelry, after the birth of her first child, Shane, as she created a personalized dog tag charm for him with his name. She then wanted to create jewelry that signifies her own personal style, and can be worn all the time. The designer provides each client, including Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts, with individualized pieces. Since the birth of her daughter, Drew, Fisher has expanded the line for a woman with an edge, featuring such pieces with pave black or white diamond gothic letters, studded cuffs, insect charms and skull rings.
Makri launched her signature jewelry line, which features 18k gold, diamonds and rubies, in 1996 at Mageia. The designer draws inspiration from multicultural symbols and their meaning, and her jewelry features a range of mystical and figurative symbols. The line’s use of old world craftsmanship and astounding attention to detail makes the jewelry both contemporary and timeless. After building a reputation as a talented designer, Makri has garnered such A-list followers as Alba, Uma Thurman, Jennifer Lopez, Ashley Olsen and Heidi Klum.
