Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed to ‘Extra‘s Jerry Penacoli that he still has a great relationship with his estranged wife, Maria Shriver, while attending the L.A. premiere of ‘The Last Stand.’ While the entertainment news show host was interviewing the actor on the red carpet for the actor’s first lead role in a decade, the former California governor said he’s proud of his family.
“They are great kids and great athletes and very smart in school, so I’m very proud, but that’s also because they have a great mother who is on top of the situation,” Schwarzenegger told Penacoli. Further discussing Shriver, the actor said “We’re having a great relationship. That’s all I can tell you.”
Johnny Knoxville, one of Schwarzenegger’s co-stars in ‘The Last Stand,’ which hits theaters on Friday, said meeting ‘The Terminator’ star for the first time was a little intimidating. “He was just so psyched to be there and having a blast, and he was so kind to everyone, I just calmed down after that,” the former ‘Jackass’ star also said.
