Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted that his estranged wife, Maria Shriver, is the love of his life while talking to ‘Extra‘ host Maria Lopez. While discussing his first lead role in 10 years, as Ray Owens in the new action crime thriller ‘The Last Stand,’ the actor said “Things are going well. I have to credit my wife, who has been terrific in keeping everything together.”
When Lopez asked Schwarzenegger if Maria was the love of his life, the actor replied, “Oh yes, absolutely.” While discussing his book, ‘Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story,’ the former California governor said it would be nice to go back and “not make the same mistakes…it’s always good to be smart in hindsight.”
Since leaving the governor’s mansion, Schwarzenegger has focused on his family and restarting his movie career. Besides ‘The Last Stand,’ which debuted in theaters this weekend to a dismal $6.3 million and landing in 10th place at the box office, the actor has several other projects in the works. He has signed on to appear in ‘Terminator 5,’ ‘Triplets’ (the sequel to his 1988 hit ‘Twins’) and another ‘Conan’ installment.
