‘The Dark Knight Rises’ actor Michael Caine was recently said to be shooting scenes on his new project, ‘Now You See Me’, when he ended up locked on set for the night. The cast and crew unknowingly went home for the evening leaving the 79-year-old Caine fast asleep in the closet of an attic, according to the stories making their way around the web. “His mobile phone was in his trailer and there was no electricity in the attic, meaning he couldn’t see a thing. It was pitch black. Michael started shouting for help but no one could hear him,” a source said of the incident.
He was later rumored to have been discovered by a carpenter in the morning. The reports came from a string of news outlets. The only problem is – the whole thing is untrue. Clearing up the story, Caine tweeted – “Just read another story about me being locked in attic [sic], completely false.” Sometime later he went on add, “everyone who has published this story has been tricked. Its completely untrue.” Caine has been shooting on location in New Orleans along with his co-stars Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, and Woody Harrelson in the movie that centers on illusionist who rob banks during their performances, handing out the money to their audience members. The movie will open in theaters March 15th 2013.
